We are sorry you missed the live webinar, but you can still access the recording.

Acting as a ‘pathfinder’ for government and with 38,000 end users, the Home Office Metis programme has now successful delivered HCM and Payroll onto their Oracle Cloud Finance, Procurement and reporting solution.  It is the largest Shared Services implementation with the broadest portfolio of Oracle applications, to go live in the Cloud and one of the largest deployments globally.

Metis has involved working collaboratively as “one team” between the Home Office, Fujitsu, Oracle, SSCL and Accenture.

We discussed our unique journey, the potential hurdles and best practice, and shared our experience of the programme working collaboratively with multiple suppliers to deliver as one team against the backdrop of the pandemic.

In detail we talked through the context of Metis and its status as Government Shared Services ‘pathfinder’, the phasing of the programme, the business case, technology vs transformation, the target operating model and the importance of creating a shared vision. We shared the knowledge acquired during the programme implementation onto Oracle Fusion as well as perspectives on the lessons learnt. We also heard from Government Shared Services and the future for Metis and how it will evolve through continuous product and process improvement.

Our speakers included those responsible for operational delivery for Metis in the Home Office as well as its suppliers - Fujitsu, Oracle, SSCL and Accenture as well as Cloud Transformation at Government Shared Services. If you are interested in implementing Oracle Fusion and Shared Services platforms and want to know more about what it takes, please review the recording at your convenience.
